I've been living on both platforms for years now. Basically buy what I really love on PS3 as soon as it's released (there's a sale now, very rare occurrence so jump on it!) and wait for the 3/4 times a year you get sales on steam to go wild. I've ended up with more dlc on steam than PS3 even though I started a couple of years later. Yes it's expensive, but you're an addict now so get used to it.On the whole PC is a better platform (and the convenience of practising on the laptop is unbeatable).

.I'm not sure if that requires new functionality only available on PS4/Xbox, or if it's something that can apply to PC and downlevel as well. Sorry, that simply means 'you can stream your Session Mode jams to Twitch and it gets recorded/archived there.' It's purely the internal Share button/Twitch functionality of the consoles being applied to a potential end-user scenario. That's the recording and sharing they mean - no capture device required to post your in-game experimentation. (Please note I did not choose to use that phrasing in the FAQ above!).
